Sometimes Timing Is Indeed Everything - Mar. 19, 2010
Now this is something we cannot guarantee every time you visit Animal Essentials.
But the moon and the stars aligned yesterday to make a great day for one customer.
Shelley and I had meetings with two different sales representatives yesterday morning at the store.
One of the folks we were meeting was named Shelley, a rep from one of our distribution companies we work with for orders.
That particular Shelley arrived early. We were discussing the pet store business when a customer arrived searching for an automated cat watering fountain.
I have dealt with those fountains, but the company Shelley works for is actually the distributor.
"Do you mind if I show how it works?" she asked the customer and I.
Step right up, I gestured.
Twenty seconds later the fountain was out of its box, the contents splayed out on the counter.
Tutuorial in progress.
The customer was ecstatic. All the minor details of the device were taken out, shown and put back in. There were even tips on what to do when cat hair clogs the main mechanism.
It could not have been any better.
Dawn and I made sure we were in on the tutourial, too, just so we could get some advice from an expert.
That will help down the road when someone else needs some help on the fountains.
It was one of those days that could not have been better.
Timing.
Sometimes it works.
